Donna G. Carter, 53, of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord, Saturday February 2, 2013 at Augusta Health, Fishersville, after a 4-year battle with (ovarian) cancer. She was born in Waynesboro on April 7, 1959 a daughter of Robert "Bob" Hale of Waynesboro and Carolyn Pullin of Crimora.

Donna was a Wal-Mart Sales Associate with 5 years of service.

The family would like to express special appreciation to Dr. Maya Ghaemmaghami and Dr. Nicholas Brandt.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her life-partner of 14 years, Dennis Fitzgerald: her son, Billy Carter and his fiance, Lydia Alford of Crimora; her daughters, Stephanie Keith and fiance, Randy Rosson of Waynesboro and Crissy May of Crimora; her brothers, Mike Hale and his wife, Pam of Waynesboro, Jamie Hale and his girlfriend, Jessica Hostetter of Waynesboro, and Joe Hale and his wife, Iantha of Georgia; her sister, Robin Reed and her husband, Tony of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Bridget, Blake, Justus, Jersie, Pookie and Jake; a number of beloved nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles; her special sons, Jeff Messer and Danny Cline and special friends, Jan and Carl Nuckles and Jackie Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 961 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville conducted by Pastor Terry Clark. Interment will be in Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Monday February 4, 2013 at the funeral home.
